Video: Take a virtual look at your new town centre - and see the plans tomorrow

Watch our new drone video

We’ve launched a new video, bringing our town centre transformation plans to life.

The fly-through film outlines what we plan to do and where – including the redevelopment of Spindles Town Square Shopping Centre, the creation of a brand-new town centre park and a dedicated cultural quarter with new theatre.

You can watch the video at https://youtu.be/7tre-LzqI8E

Cllr Arooj Shah, Oldham Council Leader and Cabinet Member for Economic and Social Reform, said: “We have lots of exciting plans for Oldham town centre but we know it can be difficult to visualise just how everything will come together. We have created this new video to put everything into perspective; to show you our major projects and how buildings and places could look in the future. Some of the changes will start to take shape really soon, including the redevelopment of Spindles, which will see building work start on site early next year. Please take a look at the video and see for yourself - there’s lots to look forward to!"The Big Oldham Conversation on your new town centre comes to Spindles Town Square tomorrow (Saturday 11 December)

If you want to find out more about our plans and projects, we'll be in Spindles Town Square, outside Greggs, from 11am-3pm , tomorrow. Feel free to pop along, ask questions and feedback.
